Camping fun

Here are some pics from our FIRST CAMPING TRIP OF 09!!! We went to bruneau sand dunes and had lots of fun. Ruth and Jeremy surprised us by coming up to stay the night and we were so excited! The kids collected rocks and water in their buckets, and had some fun with the camper screens! Then Mikey cooked his famous "Mountain Man"breakfast and we loved every bit of it! The next few pics are of Ruth and Jeremy (as seen by photographer Elliott), and my little ward, Karver. since I am watching him several times a week, I felt it my right to style his hair in my traditional favorite "banker style". Isn't he cute! Notice his two little teeth in the last pic! Love you all, and all is well.

Ok, just call this your Easter miracle! Bonnie is updating the blog AGAIN!!! I couldn't resist putting these super-cute pics up. The Heather Wilsons and Ruth Croziers came over, along with pappa and gramma johnson. What fun Easter egg hunting at the park and our front yard, and Easter fishing over our banister! Lucy was mysteriously ill that weekend so she crashed after all the festivities. What fun...enjoy!

we're baaaack!

Alright, it is time for another post. I always know it's time when I am being harassed by far away relatives! it is nice to know that people actually look at this blog though! Mostly, I just like posting pictures, so here goes! This is Lucy desperate for Spring! She grabbed her gear, her crayons and books, and headed outside for some coloring time! And, now, we would like to introduce Mikey's new girlfriend! Betty the Harley! Isn't she lovely? I actually like her a lot too! Isn't he so handsome on his bike! YOWZA! Pappa and Gramma came to visit and we had tons of fun swimming and eating out! you can't see it, but Juliet, Charice, David and Christian came too! The picture of us at the restraunt is fun because I had a sinus infection and was trying to look pathetic....it worked out pretty well yeah? Uncle Jeremy and Elliott's giant block tower. Lucy and her co-op preschool friends at thier kindergarten roundup. And... FINALLY some nice weather and we fly kites! We had a few problems, but overall lots of fun!

Updates: Lucy can ride a bike without training wheels now. Elliott is POTTY TRAINED! Ruthe and Jeremy and Karver have moved up to Meridian for Ruth's internship. Larry and Yoon may have found thier house! Life is good!

Elliott's haircut

this isn't the first time he has cut his own hair, but it is certainly the most CRAZY one! The first time, we just let it be, his bangs sort of hid the cut. Today, while I was in the shower, he decided to cut it with Lucy as his audience. YOWZA!! Here are some before, during and after pictures. Luckily, he is a pretty cute kid so the finished product isn't THAT bad. But, it still amazes me that he has cut his hair twice while Lucy, my girl, hasn't cut hers at all...hmmmm. Interesting. Enjoy my pain!

Sorry, it's been 3 months!

Alright, so I am the worst blogger ever, but who can keep up: Facebook, blogging, c'mon! Anyway, I have no intention of filling you in on the last...er....3 months, so just know that we are all healthy and happy, Elliott is now 3, we had a great Christmas, our lovely Hynes parents are still living with us (yay for us!!) and life is good. Here are some fun pics for you to look at!

This is my kids' favorite past time....putting on makeup. I don't know what I must really look like after I get ready, but both kids seem to think that eyebrows are very important indeed!








Here is Halloween. We have a very muscular spider man and a purple queen. We had a neighborhood party and I was able to dress Elliott in what I wanted!! A samarai who makes pie from the backyardigans! Pumpkin hunting at the local patch was lots of fun too.

Geeze, I don't even remember when my last post was! Things are good here though, my in-laws are still living with us, but they did manage to sell their home in tennessee, which is good for them. But, we have convinced them to stay with us through the winter at least so they can save money for a down payment (and they think we are really going to let them move out of here!) Jason, Mike's brother, and his family have finally settled in about a mile away!!! We are so lucky! they had the cutest baby girl ever. You can see her on their new website, http://www.hynessite.com/ I have been tainted by looking for homes with them, so the majority of my time has been taken up in reorganizing, redecorating, and refurnishing my home in hopes of it feeling like a new home without actaully having to BUY a new one! It is a lot funner than it sounds, I promise you! Here are some pics to satisfy your cute-kid-cravings! Lucy had her fifth bday last month, and thus, her first party! Call me crazy and you might be right...we invited 20 kids, and only 1 parent stayed! But, it was fun. It was fairy tale themed so the kids could dress up, and I face painted, and we slew the dragon, it was lots of fun. We have also had our first snow...the earliest on record! Fun times, enjoy!
