We are the music makers and we are the dreamers of dreams . . .
yet we are the movers and shakers of the world forever, it seems

WHAT? POLITICS? AAAAAH!!

Ok, I am going to make a confession. I am very ashamed to say that I don't vote enough, am not at all informed, and have very few political views. I can admit this now because I am on the path to recovery and repentance! I will no longer be a mugwump!! (cool word I just learned; look it up if you like) My brother in law, Kimo, was just as disappointed in my political activity as I was so he referred me to the webpage glassbooth.org. GENIUS!!! It is what I always wanted! It is an "unbiased" explanation of the candidates and their views on tons of issues. There is also a most helpful quiz to let you know your own political views if you are like me and don't even know what you THINK IN THE FIRST PLACE! I just wanted to put a shout out to this website because if it can inspire me to be more informed on something as ambiguous and intimidating as the upcoming election, it can help anyone! Check it out! This is the link to my quiz results in case you want to see how it all works. http://glassbooth.org/Result/results/11/759645/9d50a97da4cc8463ad55990d360133b4

Apparently I am very interesting because I am 75% compliant with Obama, and 73% with Mc Cain? Oh well, it still cleared a whole lot up for me!

HIP - HIP - HOORAY!!

OK, today Mikey was giving the kids a bath...wait...I should just stop there and this would still be a blog to remember! Oh, aren't I funny, but of course, I'm just kidding...he's a SUPER HELPER!! So, I will continue...and he asked if we had any pictures of the kids in the tub together. There. Now when the kids grow up and hate these pictures they will know that it was dad who started it! It's not my fault, I am supposed to honor and obey him; that's why I had to take the pictures!

And, just so you know why I will be humming a happy tune for a while now, my in-laws will be moving in with us next week!!!! You may be curious, but that is just because 1. you don't realize that we have already had my brother and his family of 5 live with us AND again, my sister and her family of 4, and 2. you don't know my mother-in-law. Picture the hardest working, most humble, energetic Korean woman you have ever known and you will know what I mean. I will include some pictures to illustrate.

Yeah, that's Had Abogi (korean for Grandpa) with Elliott on his shoulders, and that is Harmony (grandma) with Elliott on her back (abuba) while doing dishes, after cooking dinner and lunch and, who are we kidding, breakfast, and before dancing with Lucy and pulling the weeds in our yard! The woman never stops, she is SUPER!

Also, I will be going back to school in two weeks!! Ok, it will just be one or two classes, but it is school, and I love school!!! Get ready for the first day of school shot with me and my backpack 'cause it's comin!

crazy dayz

Ok, twelve years later I get around to another blog. I guess you could say the holidays were stressful, yeah, let's just say that. But, after looking over all your blogs, I can't help myself! I am so glad to look at some long-lost friends! Kisha, Mindy, hey wait, where are Sara and Nikki? give it time, and I'm sure I'll see them on Michelle's link soon! Life is moving right along, and we are trying to keep up. I am going to seek out some pictures to post, keep up the good postings, I love them!
Here is Boise's first attempt at snow, it was a little sad, but the kids didn't mind; it has gotten much better since!

This is the annual traumatizing trip to the mall to visit Santa. Elliott wouldn't stop crying unless we said, "it's Santa: HO HO HO" over and over. He would only stop crying long enough to repeat "HO HO HO". Thus the expression on his face.

This is Lucy's picture from her fisher price camera. Boy, I must really like to play the guitar huh? Just wait till I cash in on my Christmas present and get that banjo! I'll really be rocking then!

halloween party

Every year, I host a neighborhood Halloween party at the park next to my house (I think I am informally on the activity committee in the HOA). Here are the first pics of halloween this year! Lucy is a brunette Alice In Wonderland, Elliott is Tinky Winky (mike protested due to Tinky's alleged gender-confused identity, but there is no one cuter in the whole world...don't even get me started on my love of the big, purple, clumsy, adorable teletubby!). It is so fun to dress Elliott because I still get to pick, I had to do some subtle persuasion to get Lucy into Alice, she had to think it was her idea! Heather and I were the bug sisters, we do what we can without having to dress up too much, it all works out! Heather's husband, Kimo was a vampire, Joy was a masquerading mass murderer? and Lilly was Tinkerbell. Very cute. Fun times.

fun pics

Here are some more pics of the kids on some of Lucy's field trips. Elliott is lucky because he gets to tag along too. He was desperately afraid of the Fire truck, it must have just been too big! But, they both loved the animals and pumpkin patch. Consequently, this is the same farm that we pick strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and get our honey! It's just down the road a piece! Come visit me in Boise and I'll show ya!

Mrs Morrison would be so proud!

Ok, you want to know a little more about the modern Bonnie? As my friend Angel so eloquently put it, I am an "Earth Mom". For those of you that remember my tendency toward obsession (see Pearl Jam, Roger Butler, Rob Krohler years) you will know that I am probably attacking this with the same ferocity! I wash my clothing in an energy star washer using Soap Nuts...that's right, a nut grown on a tree, and hang them on the line to dry! We recycle EVERYTHING, always have lights off, no paper towels, reusable shopping bags, local produce and honey, free-range eggs, chicken and beef, and anything else I can think of! I haven't yet proceeded to composting or cloth diapers; Hey, no one's perfect! Any ideas to help my cause would be lovely! I am always up for new things to obsess about!
