We Survived!

What a night we had yesterday!! We were able to experience the biggest Arizona haboob in 50 years!!! Just so you know, haboob is an Arabic term that means dust wind...it should be dust tidal wave because that's what it was!! We watched images of it crawling over us on the news, while watching it cloud over everything outside the window. We couldn't even see across the street!! CRAZY!! Here are some pictures:

It was 50 miles wide and 1 mile high!

The kids loved it. They duct taped blankets to their hands and feet and "really flew!"

You can see the dust blowing in the light of the flash.

The kids came in looking like they had a gray film all over them. This morning, we had dust roads to drive on in the neighborhood...it was wild.
