This was such a busy, crazy week! I feel like we barely had time to breath, but as I sit here to write about it....I can't remember what we did, I just remember we did a lot of it!
One of the biggest and Best things that we did this week was the culmination of months of hard work for Lucy. She performed the Christmas concert for the Millenial Choir on Saturday night, and it was SPECTACULAR! There was a 60-piece orchestra and a GIANT choir, and she was beautiful. This is the same choir that she is saving money to go to Washington DC with to perform this summer; it's a pretty big deal, she got her name in the program and everything. She had a terrible cough all week, but she was able to practice and perform for 7 hours on Saturday despite it all. It was at the local concert hall, so we got to be backstage and be in the dressing rooms where the casts of all our favorite plays have gotten ready and been!! It was pretty cool.
The kids are in school all day, and Archie and I get a lot of time together, so it's no wonder that he ends up with a lot of pictures in these blog posts!! Mike was home for a few days this week, and he was wrestling with Archie when he noticed his Tina Turner-like static hairdo...
Something Archie likes to do lately is "work", or crafts. Here are some of his latest creations: a monster and a crown.
One more pretty wonderful thing happened this week, but I don't have a picture of it!! Mike got a video, and when I'm really cool, I may figure out how to put it on here. But, on Saturday, at the only basketball game that i've missed, Elliott scored his first points, and it was such a great shot! He caught the pass, and without hesitation, shot it right in the basket from just outside the key: he looked like a stud.
Lucy is still selling cinnamon rolls like crazy, I'm getting things ready for teaching piano next month, Santa is preparing the Christmas festivities, and we are all feeling happy and blessed.
