Spring is Breakin!

For Spring Break we had no big plans...surprised? But, I still wanted it to be special for the kids, especially because it is the last big hurrah before there is another needy, albeit adorable, little member of our family. So I decided to do at least one fun thing each day of the week. Monday morning we were surprised to see Harmony bright and early! She came to spend some time with the kids and give me a break. She is so great. So, Monday and Tuesday the kids DID do amazing things, but not with me! I will now start the pictures....But wait! The first set need a bit of explanation:

When I was a kid, my family had Family Home Evening (FHE) every Monday night. There was always a spiritual lesson, a game and a treat. One of our favorite games was the M&M roll. We would tape off a section of table, roll peanut M&Ms and if it landed within the taped boundaries, we got to eat it. I decided spring break was as good a time as any to show my kids this tradition during our own FHE. They loved it. We did it several times throughout the week. Ok, now here are the pictures!

I don't know why Elliott is covering his ears; maybe the M&Ms make a loud sound when they fall off the table!

Monday morning, when Harmony showed up and told us she was wanting to spend time with the kids on their week off, and she wanted to give me a break, the kids convinced her that she should take them on an outing to Mountain Home so off they went. While there, they fed the ducks, (pay special attention to the outrageous posing of my ham-it-up kids!)

explored the park,
including the awesome fighter planes,
random monuments,
teeter-toters,
and fun parks. So much fun, thank you so much Harmony!
On to day 2! Harmony comes AGAIN!! She took the kids swimming at the YMCA this time....for 2 hours!
That's it for now...spring break is far from over, but i didn't want to overload you on photos, so the rest will come later!

What a jewel Yoon is! Sounds (and looks) like they had a great time with her. They do know how to pose. Where do they get that from. M&M's rolls rock!Glad that you are keeping the tradition alive. Clever Mom you are.
