Family Reunion: Day 7, Part 1

Today we woke up and headed off to the Mall of America!! We got there before it opened because we wanted to visit the Apple store to see if they had any iphone 4 in. It was Mikey's lucky day, and we were able to start the mall trip off on a good foot. We chanced upon two of the new phones. Now that Mikey and I had our new toys, it was time to play at Nickelodeon Universe theme park inside the mall. Lucy enjoyed the rides enough, but she was really waiting for her chance to go to the American Girl Doll store. Ever since her cousin Lilly got one for Christmas last year, she has wanted one. She got her wish too. Elliott was easy...he wanted a hot wheels motorcycle: done.

We spent the day riding great rides and meeting Nick Jr characters. We really didn't even shop, we grabbed a few things at a few stores, but the 12 hours we were there were spent riding and screaming and having sooooo much fun. You can see that Lucy was very enthusiastic about meeting the characters, Elliott a little less so. Pablo (the blue penguin) was the first that we met, and I convinced Elliott to give him a high five. Spongebob and Patrick are his favorite characters ever, but still he would only go in if I went with him...then he was done. I love how Lucy just hugs with abandonment. I think she is so comfortable around them because she has an affinity for people with huge heads...I don't know where she gets this! This first post will be just the great characters we got to meet.
